The game between closely ranked teams ended with twenty third ranked HungarianHonved 's (5-2) victory over 24th ranked Italian Ischia (3-5) 102-46 on Sunday. The game without a history. Honved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ischia to just 6 points in first quarter. Honved dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Ischia 's 18. Honved forced 28 Ischia turnovers and outrebounded them 44-22 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Honved looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Ischia 's players. Guard Balazs Markus (190-2006) nailed 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Gabor Sziegl (179) accounted for 11 points, 12 assists and 4 steals. Five Honved players scored in double figures. Hungarian Balazs Barabas came up with 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ciro De Rosa (190-2007) added 10 points respectively for Ischia in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Honved . Despite that victory Honved went down to 47th position due to points difference. Loser Ischia dropped to the fifteenth place with five games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams.
